The other possibilities that you named are wishy-washy at best. Here is an idea that may have merit. What about Robert Kennedy Jr.? I have no idea about his abilities as a speaker but his ideas and ideals are close to Obama's. JOHN EDWARDS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE FOR PRESIDENT. ALL OF HIS IN DEPTH IDEAS WERE LITERALLY USED BY HILLARY AND OBAMA BUT IT WAS WIDELY STATED THAT THE CORPORATE MEDIA DID NOT WANT EDWARDS BECAUSE OF HIS STANCE ON PACS,ETC. AND CARING ABOUT THOSE IN POVERTY LEVEL DID NOT APPEAL EITHER! BUT I WILL ALWAYS BE A JOHN EDWARDS DEMONCRAT WHO WILL BE SUPPORTING OBAMA.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345275.post-36850703938812241712008-06-06T11:10:00.000-04:002008-06-06T11:10:00.000-04:00So PortlyDyke is going to vote for a candidate who...So PortlyDyke is going to vote for a candidate who stands against everything she stands for because she's angry at the Democratic Party? That makes no sense. Obviously, her vote is hers to cast, but she might want to give that decision a bit more thought. Or she can just be angry and welcome another Scalia to the Supreme Court.TrackerNeilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13738193667346391605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345275.post-5588929679904656802008-06-06T10:00:00.000-04:002008-06-06T10:00:00.000-04:00This is my first read of your blog, i came over fr...This is my first read of your blog, i came over from the pro-Edwards article, "10 Reasons". I must say that I've enjoyed them both.

Give me Obama/Edwards or Obama/Richardson and I'll be happy. You are correct that the talent is endless, but name recognition (as we've seen on both sides this year) is highly important when it comes to the 30-40% of people who will be voting.

Being from VA, please keep Mark Warner out of this, I would much rather keep him for myself. Selfish, yes, but at the same time, a Great senator is much better than an OK VP (speculation yes).

Party unity is important, and I whole heartedly agree that it will happen. Thanks for the read, and to fellow readers with comments, thank you for the intelligent responses. It's nice to engage in a discussion without the standard personal attacks that we see on most of these blog sites.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345275.post-28891319686495786822008-06-06T09:38:00.000-04:002008-06-06T09:38:00.000-04:00Nice list. Obama will probably win, and even if he doesn't, it's not like VP is a big deciding factor.

No, we should be looking at VP in terms of "how would they be as a Vice President" and "how would they be as President, either if the President died or if they were to be front runner for the nomination in 8 years".

For those who opposed Hillary from the get-go, because of Penn and the Iraq War and Hillaryland and everything, it's obvious why you wouldn't want her to be President, and there discussion ends there.

As Vice President, she would be a constant CONSTANT source of stories and coverage of "rivalry in the White House", and what we know of her clan would be happy to foment that.

If you look beyond November 08, it's obviously a bad idea.Bluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14667147687700902147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345275.post-76912971665309601232008-05-19T10:31:00.000-04:002008-05-19T10:31:00.000-04:00My youthful fantasies of being the young White Hou...My youthful fantasies of being the young White House intern Hillary would use for post-Monica revenge

TMI, Neil.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
