Which is kinda annoying becaus after the quote Spaulding doesn't say why it's wrong. The combination of actual non-anecdotal evidence and pithy turn of phrase is kinda something that needs to be responded to,
Pam Spaulding's point, right or wrong, though, is that the attitude in the quote is totally wrong.
