It's pretty cool how accepting a job makes you like rejection letters a lot more. I get one, and I'm indifferent to the fact that I didn't get the job, while being mildly pleased that St. Podunk's College and someone who wanted to teach there found each other.

Amazing how one can go from likable to wanker in one R1 hire.
Well, there goes my presidential campaign.
i know what you mean. i receive something like two rejection letters a day, and all they remind me of is how lucky i am to have got a job. it is a strange feeling.
