Onward fat girl
Despite the fact that I'm generally freaked out by beauty pagaents, I can see some value in a beauty pagaent for heavy women. But this line just struck me as weird:

Thais have a sense of the 'fitness of things' that differs a bit from ours.
I lived there for two years. That pageant makes sense to me.
Yeah, as I read that I thought that this must be a sign of some deep-seated cultural differences.
